ACTIVE CONDITIONING (ACTCON)
ACTcon, (a.k.a Active Conditioning) classes are by far our most popular classes and almost typical of what you can expect from our CrossFit gym.
Active Conditioning is our Functional Movement Sessions that will challenge you physically and also mentally. Conditioning means to improve the capacity of a person to perform work. The work may be of a short to long duration and of varying weights and intensities. All of which are cornerstone elements in a typical CrossFit session.
The ACTcon program also includes a Beginner Program to cater for greenies with various fitness levels that are just starting to exercise and wanting a wholesome workout experience that is progressively challenging.
Staffed by expert coaches, ACTcon contains a mixed variety of exercises with barbells, dumbbells, rowers, bikes, or anything else that will challenge your fitness, strength in multiple domains.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
ACTcon classes run for 60minutes. From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted by our Expert CrossFit Certified Coaches who are dedicated to your success and also incredibly friendly and approachable.
You will also get to know all of our FibreFam members who are all lovely and highly supportive of each other.
A TYPICAL WORKOUT
- Warm Up 5 minutes
- Strength/Skill 10-15 minutess
- Metabolic Conditioning 15-30 minutes
- Cool Down 5 minutes
The above represents the general structure of a training session in an ACTcon class. Sometimes we vary the session by going long on the Metabolic Conditioning where we do larger workouts with higher volume or long intervals depending on where we are on the Periodization Block of the program.
